Overall, it was a great trip. Explorient was well organized and true to their word. The guides were knowledgable and accomodating. The tour included a private min-van driving from DaNang to Hanoi (15 hours) with the giude accompaning us all the way. The guide made the long hard trip very interresting. We got to see the country first hand, but would not recommend driving unless you overnight along the way and take time to enjoy the beaches.

ITINERARY

Day 1. Arrive Hanoi

Meet on arrival at Hanoi - Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to hotel for check in.

Afternoon stroll through the small urban area by Hanoi botanical garden, West lake..., take to a 3 - wheel bicycle rickshaw for an orientation tour in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

In the evening, enjoy welcome dinner in the finest restaurant in town.

Meal: Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2 Hanoi - Mai Chau – Thai Tribes village

Breakfast in hotel. Early morning supported Van transfer you on the highway 6 passing Hoa Binh, Man Duc to Mai Chau - a valley surrounded by spectacular karst rock formations and picturesque rice paddies. Have lunch with family of Thai Tribes and have some free time acquainting with villagers.

15.00 take to the bikes and ride along tarmac trails through Thai village and across rice paddies.

Get back to village for freshen up and enjoy the dinner in the long house.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Home Stay in Mai Chau.
Biking: 3 hours.

Day 3 - Mai Chau – Cuc Phuong National Park – Tam Diep - Ninh Binh

After breakfast. Early morning Supported Van transfers you to Nho Quan enjoy the biking on the most beautiful cycling route in Vietnam. Picnic Lunch, afternoon go pass Cuc Phuong National park, part is on country lanes part through the field where farmers working with their crops. Arrive Tam Coc late in the afternoon.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel in Tam Coc
Biking: 3 - 6 hours.

Day 4 Tam Coc – Boat trip – Bich Dong - Hanoi

We start a day the local way, Have breakfast then row the sampans in the rice field to visit 3 caves in Tam Coc

Biking to Bich Dong and visit the pagoda on the mountain and take another route biking all the way through the villages to Hoa Lu. Later in the afternoon, drive to Hanoi. The trip end at 17.00

Biking: 3 hours
